HPC Monster feel lonely on blag.  Nobody update here in weeks.  Everbody goes to Google wave now because they think it hot new thing.  HPC monster on wave too, it pretty neat.  HPC monster just wants more codes to eat.

Mr. Stephens will be up today/tomorrow to visit and work on his thesis.  Sounds like he wants to do something not-thesis related Sunday afternoon/evening.  Anyway we can go see a movie (Kate sounded interested in seeing “The Men Who Stare at Goats”), have dinner someplace, and/or do something else.

Pizza, games, beer tonight?

You know the place.

Andy laid out a basic plan yesterday:
-Meet up ~5 or so, play some games, eat food, etc.
-Head out to a bar to observe drunk people in costumes while we are relatively sober

Any thoughts?

Tomrrow is foody tuesday.  I’d be up to going to Nyala if it’s open.  Any other suggestions?

Anyone up for Friday lunch ~12ish? I was thinking either Mexican or a tasty sandwich/burger place…

Beer o' the World

Some friends of mine in PA are doing a beer tasting bracket competition thing coming soon.  I’m getting more specific info on the event now, but it sounds like a fantastic time.  The basic idea is everyone buys a six pack of some beer or other with a common theme (they’re doing lagers) and a moderator (presumably me) will pour out beers so no one knows what beer is what.  We all then do a blind tasting and evaluate the beers on some predetermined criteria.  Sounds like an awesome way to get familiar with lots of different tastes of beer, expanding our palates scotchy-tuesday style.  Interest?

I think we’ve decided on doing foodie Tuesday for the remainder of the Semester instead of foodie Monday.  The plan is to go to Suehiro this Tuesday since Alan’s been having a hankerin’ for it.

So I dunno about you guys, but I’ve been working pretty much non-stop for a couple of weeks and am starting to feel a bit burned out. Anyone up for something fun?
