For those of you who use the svn hosting on my server, I have that back up and working as well.
Also, I will be adding git hosting support soon (tonight or tomorrow). If you want a git repo hosted, let me know.

Whooo, finally done with the major changes. I’m still working on getting version control and my other sites back up. The server should be up for quite a while now. Teabag away!
Edit: Also, I am currently 302ing (permanently moved) iegen.com/csblog to csblog.lamielle.net. I may take this away at some point so get in the habbit of using the new url (which will stay the blog url for the forseeable future).
Edit 2 (Saturday Feb 21, 2009 15:45): Finally got a comcast tech out to figure out what the problem was. A coax cable shorted out at one of the connectors and it took a while to find it. Regardless, the server is running, my connection is back, and the blog is useable.
Server Work Today

Today I will be making some major changes to the server that is hosting this site. I hope to be finished by tonight. At the very least I will get this blog going again as soon as possible. What does this mean: I will not be pulling the blog down right away, but will be soon. Please refrain from posting until later tonight or risk losing the post.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but this update will make my life much easier.
Scotch report: Talisker and Bowmore
Last night, after some nachos and a Wilbur’s run we had Bowmore and tried a new scotch: Talisker.
With Bowmore, I stand by our initial conclusions. It’s an accessible Islay Scotch without the overwhelming smokiness of Laphroaig.
While Bowmore is a gentle vessle to slowly guide you to the refined shores of Islay, Talisker is some other kind of metaphorical boat — one that’s bigger, more agressive, more likely to carry pirates. But not the scary kind. No, rather the cool kind. The kind that drink scotch instead of rum. Anyway, Talisker is a peppery scotch with characteristics of both the highlands and Islay.
Both have a lot of character and are the perfectly suited for a slow evening of reading papers.
Bowmore 12 year
Color: Dark goldon, coppery
Nose: Peaty
Taste: Dry, peaty
Churchill factor: .5
Location: Islay
Talisker 10 yr:
Color: Amber (red)
Nose: Very defined, slight smokiness
Taste: Slight sweetness, peppery, very sarp
Churchill factor: 2
Location:Isle of Skye
Tuesday…
For some reason I’m almost always the one to bring this up…
Are we doing anything tonight?
I’m definitely up for BeauJo’s if nothing else

I found this cool poster after spending the majority of the morning and afternoon making it while avoiding my work.

A subtle way of asking if we're doing dinner tonight
Have you guys ever heard of these computer things? I’m a new user, and it seems there’s no limit to the amount of time you can waste with them!

Ok, so I know I already posted today, and I know Eric has too, but my buddy made me aware of this video and I couldn’t not post it. (for those of you who don’t know, I was the director of an all male a capella group in college so this is near and dear to my heart)
This guys is a pretty amazing singer, too, to have done this all on his own.
Drinking w/ netsec 2nite?
Would you guys be up going out w/ some netsec people? I just asked if there was a plan, and it sounds like we could use… some guidance from experts here…

Thank you, wikipedia. Rewriting the sentence in an international rodent motif:
