Sushi Good!
Doug missed sushi last week, so we decided we are going to go again tonight. Assuming he still wants to go and won’t bail on us again. : P I think it’ll be Suehiro tonight as most people seem to like that better than JeJu or Nemo’s.

Since no one plans ahead of time, seems like not eating out for Monday dinners idea is dead. It is the week before pay day for those who matters, so we will go for a cheap one this week. Doug and I talked a little and came up with Cheba Hut for tonight. How does this sound?

Jimmy Eat World - Live at The Ogden Monday Night
Looks like sushi will have to wait until next weekend. I’m going to be down in Denver at the Ogden at the Jimmy Eat World concert. Next Sunday I will look into finding some sush-grade fish for us to make some at my place. Any requests for types of fish and/or ingreedients? I’ll definitely find some avacato, cucumber, and carrots for vegetables. What else would be good beyond the fish? Read the rest of this entry »
Monday Plan 2/23

We probably need to start talking about it at least the day before to actually get someone to cook and not eat out.
Assuming we can use Andy’s place tomorrow, I can do the cooking tomorrow. Here is what I have in mind, Okonomiyaki. You can read Wikipedia for details, but in short, it is like a pancake that you can put whatever you want in.
The main ingredients are
-Flour
-Water
-Egg
-Cabbage
and anything you want to put in like meat, fish, cheese, vegetables.
You actually need yam in addition to the above incredients to make it good, but I never saw one around here.
There is no guarantee that it tastes good. I have made it before with what I can get here and it wasn’t bad, but it may taste tasteless for you. I will have stir fry sause and mayonnaise.
Here is what I need to know:
-Who is coming
-What do you want for the anything part
-or would you want something other than okonomiyaki
Also, last week I went into a store in Fort Collins that I knew that it was there for 6 years and never went in, and it had bunch of Japanese food. They even had the mix of flour and some other stuff specialized for okonomiyaki. It is more expensive compared to flour ($5/lb) but we could use this one instead.

I found this cool poster after spending the majority of the morning and afternoon making it while avoiding my work.

A subtle way of asking if we're doing dinner tonight
Have you guys ever heard of these computer things? I’m a new user, and it seems there’s no limit to the amount of time you can waste with them!
